Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Hong Kong is looking for a suitable individual with a strong desire to work in an international NGO for the following position to be based in Hong Kong:
Fundraising Officer (Marketing and Donor Engagement)
Reporting directly to the Senior Philanthropy Officer, the major responsibilities of this position are:
- Support donor relationship management and foster communications with major donors through direct mails, emails, phone calls, meetings and donor events as per the donor stewardship plans
- Assist in corporate solicitation and pitching for event sponsorship, monetary contributions, matching gifts programs and in-house fundraising events
- Implement various marketing, fundraising and lead generation programs to achieve donor engagement and fundraising objectives
- Conduct research into new and potential major donors in Hong Kong and SE Asia and provide information for donor cultivation
- Propose and explore new fundraising tools & programmes for the cultivation of existing and solicitation of potential major donors
- Produce post-campaign analysis to ensure that campaign objectives are met
- Prepare donor communication collaterals and correspondence
- Provide general administrative support when required
The Ideal Candidate
- University graduate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales and marketing
- Working experience in NGO sector is an advantage
- Strong interest in humanitarian affairs; commitment to the aims and values of Médecins Sans Frontières
- Proactive personality, with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in a range of different styles with different audiences
- Previous experience in prospect research and lead generation programs is an asset
- Strong project management skills, be detail-orientated and able to plan autonomously
- Excellent proficiency in English and Chinese
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and multi-tasking
